Travis Denison, Acoustic guitar player, and lead singer of the White Creek Band, was born the youngest of six kids on October 10, 1972. Born and raised in South Dakota, his influence to music started at a very young age. Remembering back to his mother playing records of Marty Robbins, Stonewall Jackson, and Charlie Pride while she did her housework.

As far as influences, Travis had a wide range of country, gospel, Bluegrass, and Rock n Roll. He has fond memories of singing in the family van on the way home from church at nights, or around the campfire. Travis was active in school and loved to hunt, fish, and trap. As far as music at that time, he always had dreams of what it would be like to perform music but at high school age the only instrument he played was the drums in the school band.

It wasn't until after graduation from Deubrook High school, Travis went on to work construction with his dad, he found himself in Norton, Kansas working on a power line construction crew with his older brother Joey who had went to school for that trade. Joey influenced his younger brother more than he realized, because Joey started playing guitar at the age of 14, and like most younger brothers do, Travis tagged along behind, down to Kansas. Before moving to Kansas, Travis bought a guitar from a pawn shop for $56 hoping to learn how to play, Although you never stop learning, Travis taught himself, with some pointers from a few friends and his brothers. The more these guys got together to play the more the vision of making his own music became a reality in his mind.

Travis wrote his first song, called "That Song", which was the beginning of a love affair with music and songwriting.

Shortly after that Travis and two of his brothers, Joey and Danny Denison, cousin Brian Graslie, and Wade Tirrel (former drummer), started the band that is now known as The White Creek Band. Wade Tirrel was one of Travis' best and closest friends, but after a couple of years in the band Wade Quit the band and went to further his career in racing. And just recently Danny Denison has quit the White Creek Band, for a promising future in one of the loves of his life, "FISHING". Although the band misses what these guys contributed they salute these guys for following their hearts and dreams which is what the remaining individuals of the White Creek Band are still doing. "My dream is not unlike many others, and that is to be a Country Music Recording Artist, to pour out my heart and soul in a version of a song, and to make the listener feel the way my radio heroes made me feel. I'll try my best to make this dream come true, after all what is life without a song. Travis Denison."
